Where will your session take place?
Your session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort.

Must you be completely undressed?
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client undressed completely or partially. Your session with me WILL NOT require you to be undressed.

What should you wear?
The work will be done through the clothes so heavy or thick clothing such as jeans, sweaters, sweat pants, or sweat shirts do not work very well. What will work best is some type of workout clothing made from a thin fabric such as; yoga pants, leggings, t-shirts, training pants, or shorts.

Will you be covered during the session?
Blankets will be available that can be used to provide extra warmth and comfort, if they are needed.

What will your session be like?
You will remain on your back and fully clothed throughout the session while combinations of acu-points will be held. You determine the depth of the pressure. Normally, the acu-points will at first generate sensitivity which will give way to a pleasurable feeling of release. You may have feelings or emotions surface as the tension and stress release. You are welcome to express those feelings and emotions as they arise, if you are comfortable doing so. It is also possible to fall into a deep meditative state or relaxing sleep as tensions melt away.

What should you do during your session?
Prior to your session, feel free to ask any questions about the technique or the upcoming session. During your session, make yourself comfortable. The practitioner will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session. Many people just close their eyes and completely relax, communicating when they need more or less pressure, another blanket, or anything else relevant to your session. If you have any questions regarding your session, feel free to ask.

How you might feel after your session?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.

Are there any medical conditions that would make a session inadvisable?
Yes. That is why it is imperative that, before you begin your session, the practitioner asks general health questions. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition, approval from your doctor may be required.
